Ok, I’m not a baker. In fact, I’ve never really made cakes. However, now that I have this I want to. Our baker wasn’t taking requests due to COVID, so I bought things to make a cake for my sons birthday. I searched and searched, and thought about buying only a couple things to make my own kit. After I started pricing it out, I realized this was the way to go, and I couldn’t be happier.
After buying this I also bought icing tools and a cake leveler among other things, and they all easily fit into this kits case. It is really cool that you can take out the dividers in the bottom section to fit your needs. The case keeps everything together well, and as long as you aren’t going to buy a lot of additional items, this works really well. Yes, some of the items included are not the higher quality ones that Wilton makes (offset spatulas for example are not their expensive ones, but they are easily usable and great nonetheless).
I was pretty successful making my first cake, and now I can honestly say that I can’t wait to make more (which I never thought I’d say). When we go to dinner parties (get to after COVID is more like it) I will be bringing more cakes that I have made now that I have this amazing set that even novices can use to make nice looking cakes.
